Third Party Authentication allows you to access your Candy Digital account via a password/email, Google, or Apple. Providing you multiple secure entry points and faster login. |
How it Works
|
Signing Up via Third Party Authentication: When signing up for a Candy Digital account you can select to sign up via Google or Apple, or you can enter an email followed by a password Setting Up Third Party Authentication: If you originally created an account with an email and password, you will only be able to login via Third Party Authentication if you have connected your socials within your Account Settings. Once logged in, head to your Account Settings, then “Connect” next to Google and/or Apple. Once connected, you’ll see the email credentials of the social platform you connected. Note that the email associated with your Third Party Authentication account does not have to be the same as the original email you used to sign up. Logging In via Third Party Authentication: After connecting, head to https://www.candy.io/login, then select the method you would like to use to log into your account. Any of the methods you have connected can be used to login |
Need to Know: Apple Connect

Connecting Apple means you will be able to login via your Apple ID. Apple gives you the option of whether you use your actual email or hide it. Since Apple ID manages your email and password credentials for login, any changes to the email and password will need to be made via your Apple ID Settings. They cannot be changed on Candy’s website |
Need to Know: Google Connect
|
You can connect any Google email address to your account via Google Connect. It does not need to be the same email address that you have used for your email/password login |
Changing or Adding a Password
|
Through your Candy Digital account, the only password you can change is the one connected to your account. Any changes to your Google or Apple password would need to be made through their applications. If the edit button to change your password is grayed out, it's because you're currently logged in via Third Party Authentication. In order to set a password, you can select “Forgot Password” to trigger a reset email that will allow you to add a password to your profile. The “Primary Email” displayed in your Account Settings will be the email to use with your password. That email may be changed by selecting “Edit” next to the email. |
Transactional and Marketing Emails

All transactional and marketing emails will be sent to the primary email on your account. |
Troubleshooting
|
You must set up MFA in order to connect any social platforms You will need to connect each Third Party Authentication with your Account Settings prior to logging in via that method If you want to disconnect Apple or Google Connect, you will need to login via another method, then disconnect within your Account Settings If you have a Candy Digital account and attempt to sign up using Google or Apple with the same email address your Candy account is under, you will receive an error message |
